WHAT A BLAST!!!


this is the BEST camp ever! hahahas. cos 1) it was planned by MEMEME! 2) the seniors were just whackass 3) the participants were SUPERB!!!



i'm so high from camp but totally shagged out. but yea. i'll briefly run through what happened. i met bennett and jun khee at clementi mrt on sat evening.. went to get the next day's breakfast. needed the guys to help me carry the stuff... then we cabbed into poly marina. dropped off the stuff and teng lui hopped on and we set off to jurong east to pick the freshies up. waited till bout 5.15 before we left for poly marina. i was frantic when i realised i left poly marina with the money for the bbq with me. thankfully they managed to pull together enough money or i would have to rush back to pass it to them. STRESS. but it was alright.



once we got to poly marina, we got them settled into the rooms and then started icebreakers. x) meanwhile the seniors were getting the fire started. the bbq was good. the games were good. it was all good lah! hahas. but sadly, it had to rain. that kinda interrupted our plans but we worked out fine. but our treasure hunt had to stop halfway.



so during this period of time, they were free to do whatever they wanted to do... meanwhile, i went upstairs to check on jun khee, solomon and bennett. (oh yeah, we had some tequila!) me, melissa, amanda and a couple others came up. but i was practically the only one who entered the room and stayed on there. all for a good cause!!! i had a free show! the guys were trying to sabotage each other by pulling each others' pants down. it was totally hilarious i swear. solomon was the target... but they stopped awhile after a good fight cos solomon was smart enough to be kicking AND... PULLING PEOPLE'S HAIR!!! HAHAHAHAS. i swear it was damn funny. i have it all on video. and then the next target was bennett. they somehow managed to pull his pants down while he was sleeping face down.(not entirely sleeping, probably just resting) and yeah. we saw him OH-SO-WHITE ASS! HAHAHAS. and because of that, it sparked a fight between bennett and zixuan. they were all out to pull each other's pants down. and after that, i was the next target.. that was when bennett started playing with the lights. hahahas. and cos the guys weren't happy that i just sat there and watched them, taking photos and videos. but yeah. thankfully nothing happened to me lah. RESPECT guys! x))



and so... after that we got them settled into the laser room when we started the bonding session. introduced each other. and it was fun how we "suan-ed" everyone of them. hahahas. cool shit man. even the alumni were not let off. (of cos) ;) after that we went through the basics of sailing so that we could save time in the morning. i must say solomon was just really good at explanations. so it all went well. also.. credit also goes to the freshies who were just absolutely awesome!



after all that, it was "lights-out". hahahahahas. RIGHT. you should have seen the amount of people that went downstairs to gobble more food and still slack around. jun khee, solomon and zi xuan went over to the girls room with me. of cos lah. they wanted to sleep with the girls. tsktsktsk. and while in the girls room, cos there were two mannequins inside, jun khee and solomon started playing with one till the hand came off. so they tried to fix it back. and in the process, started "playing" with it la. totally hilarious. took a couple of photos of that. anyhows, in the end some of the girls went over to the laser room(guys' room) cos... 1) the room stank 2) due to the rain, water sipped in 3) the laser room is just much nicer la. so after awhile, we just went back to the laser room.



jun khee, solomon and me were just crapping around while bennett just fell asleep. hahas. we were just practically disturbing each other and talking shit. damn funny lahhh. and then we TRIED to sleep.. with no intention of sleeping actually. dale came up with my notebook to organise the next day's allocation of boats. so yeah. we got serious for a bit... before we got back to the nonsense. but meanwhile zixuan called from the prata shop to ask if we wanted anything so we placed our orders. after a bit i went downstairs to get my sleeping bag and inflatable pillow. and attempted to sleep then. but to no avail... we just went on disturbing each other. first, me and solomon were sharing my sleeping bag. then jun khee pulled it over. and then solomon pulled it back and then jun khee pulled again and then solomon gave up and started staring out of the window and just crapping. hahas. he was just turned on my LONG FINGERNAILS. hahas. so was dale man! tsktsktsk. naughty boys. anyhow, after waiting so long for the prata to come, solomon just decided to go downstairs to see if it was here. i just stayed on and lied down for a bit.jun khee just went on disturbing me like crazy lah.. saying i was disturbing him together with solomon earlier on while he was trying to sleep.. when in actual fact, it was solomon doing most of the job.



anyways, by the time the prata arrived, which was when zixuan came up to call me down... i just decided not to eat anymore and just SLEEEEEP. but it was a tough thing to do.. cos UNCLE larry was just snoring so loudly.. and there just funny noises in the room lah. hahahahas. you can imagine. uh-hem.



and so i managed to catch about 2 hrs of sleep before waking up at 6am... woke up with a stiff shoulder... =/ tried to wake jun khee up but failed. so i went down on my own to check out what the rest were doing. realised a lot of them didn't sleep at all. hahas. solomon was already rigging the laser 16. the rest were just "nua-ing" around. hahas. all dead flat tired.



by 630 i went up to wake all the helpers up. and got them downstairs. because we had to launch the powerboats already since it was high tide.



at about 7am, we got everyone down, prepared breakfast and started teaching them how to rig the boats. ;) this... "UNCLE", jun khee, did the honours. heh. he did a pretty good job i must add. first he taught them how to rig the pico, letting them have a hands-on experience. then taught kian tat and linus to rig the laser, but the others just stood around and listened and SEE. heh.



after that we let them have their breakfast, before we did a briefing. jun khee did the part on launching and recovery and the capsize drill. after that we allocated the boats and set them out. and then the tiring part of the day came. sailed and sailed and sailed. shout and shout and shout. and yeah. i lost my voice! before all the boats were launched, being on the boat that solomon is driving, it's dangerous.. and it's almost routine that he'll take up far out and do funny stunts la. sharp turns on shit. you've gotta hold on REALLY TIGHT. i must say that jun khee isn't as bad as solomon man. solomon is the KING! hahas.



came back for lunch shortly after... and then went back out to sea... jun khee had to go off so i followed him back to shore cos i had to collect $$ from him.. hahas. waited for him while he showered and almost fell asleep.. but he showered too fast for me to actually fall asleep la. after that i walked him out and came back. decided not to go back out to sea since uncle larry wanted to leave and there was a freshie that was sea sick. so i told him to go up to the room to rest since the aircon was still on. he went to take a shower and i totally fell asleep. woke up in a frenzy only when i heard him packing his things. hahas. i was sleeping on tables. so the tables shook! =x oops. and yeah. slept for a bit more before i decided to go downstairs to see if they were gonna recover anytime soon.



helped to put all the trolleys along the ramp so that it was easier for them to recover. i love FO camps! hahas. cos this is when we have manpower to help us scrub our boats clean! ;) nice. so we did a massive clean up. i decided after a bit to go shower 1st because it is the time of the month and yeah...



so after i showered and got them all gathered at the briefing area, i did a debrief and discussed club matters such as recruitment. the turnout was pretty good i must say. after that did a seniors debrief. yeap. i must really thank the seniors for all that they've done for us.. all the valuable lessons and comments and suggestions and endless support. without them, all these wouldn't have been possible!



after that, all of them went to shower. and we decided to go for dinner together. sadly we only managed to retain a bunch for dinner at jurong point. hahas. it was after a very very long consideration in fact.. that kinda turned some of them away. xP oh wells. whatever.



anyways, i really enjoyed this camp! heh. so hyped in fact. just very very tired now. and i dread sch tomorrow. plus i've tennis...... SIGGGH. TIRREEEED!!! SOS!
